Can I Connect My Current Sump Pump to a Battery for Backup?

There currently is no battery capable of powering a 120 volt primary sump pump. However there are options, so you're not entirely out of luck. Here are a few options for you to choose from.

  • Auxiliary Power System - able to operate a 1/2HP pump for 10-12 continuous hours or 40 non-continuous hours.

  • Complete Battery Backup System

  • A Smaller 7000-8000 Watt Standby Generator.

  • Combination Sump Pump System. - Some of these can fit into a basin as small as 10" wide by 14" deep.
